Multiple Sclerosis Fundraiser!

Harvest Thyme Tavern will be hosting a fundraiser on Sunday, March 22nd. The fundraiser will be to support the Walk MS 2020, and will be hosted by the "Walking with Wendy" Team. A portion of that day's proceeds will go to the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Join us and show your support for those whose lives have been affected by MS by coming in for either Brunch (11:30AM-3PM) or Dinner (3PM-9PM)!

Change in Reservation Policy

We are making some necessary changes in our reservation policy. Starting now, we will no longer be accepting reservations on Friday's, Saturday's and Sunday's. Instead, we will begin using Priority Seating. You my call and put your party's name down for a specific time, but you may still have to wait. Parties of five or more people may still make a reservation on these days in order to ensure seating. 

We are making this change due to the continued growth in business and wanting to ensure proper service.

Vista Flores

From Vista Flores Vineyard in Mendoza, Argentina

This wine is made from 100% Malbec grapes. The grapes are harvested from from the Vista Flores Vineyard in Mendoza, Argentina, hence the name of the wine. The terroir consists of loamy soil with rounded rocks on the bottom.  The wine undergoes cold maceration for five days at 50 degrees Fahrenheit, followed by fermentation for 16 days, then a post-fermentation maceration for 10 more days. The wine then sits for 15 months in a barrel.  

Mendoza was first overlooked as a place to grow vines, but the Catena Zapata family found that it was actually perfect for vine growing. The soil near the Andes, though poor because of their low fertility, produced vines that had low yields and ripened slowly throughout the summer. This created wines of great balance and elegance, with deliciously soft tannins. With each high-altitude valley in Mendoza comes a unique flavor and aroma for the same grape varietal. 

Bodega Catena Zapata was founded in 1902 and has since been known for it's pioneering role in high-altitude viticulture and in resurrecting  Malbec. This particular wine, the Catena Malbec, was first planted in 1902 on a hunch from Nicola Catena that Malbec would "find its hidden splendor in the Argentina Andes." Nicola's hunch was right, but it took nearly a century and a great deal of economic struggles for the Catena Zapata family to produce this delicious wine. It wasn't until 1994 when the first Catena Malbec was released, and it was a huge success. The goal of those working for Catena Zapata, is to create wines that are truly rich and unforgettable, wines which can stand with the best of the world.
