Change in Reservation Policy

We are making some necessary changes in our reservation policy. Starting now, we will no longer be accepting reservations on Friday's, Saturday's and Sunday's. Instead, we will begin using Priority Seating. You my call and put your party's name down for a specific time, but you may still have to wait. Parties of five or more people may still make a reservation on these days in order to ensure seating. 

We are making this change due to the continued growth in business and wanting to ensure proper service.

Reserve Mer Soleil

From Santa Lucia Highlands in Monterey County, California

Created by Chuck Wagner, winemaker and owner of Caymus, this Chardonnay began with a search for the perfect place to plant Chardonnay. The Santa Lucia Highlands was found to be an exceptional region for growing, despite the rapidly changing, 'moody' weather conditions. This region regularly experiences varying conditions like morning fog, bright sunshine, light breezes and howling winds. However, these vast changes allow for a complex Chardonnay, with intense aromas and flavors. 

Mer Soleil brings a bright and creamy flavor, which is balanced by a vibrant acidity. The aging and fermentation of this wine takes place in French oak barrels for 12-15 months, and the winemakers use a mix of new and used barrels in order to achieve the perfect amount of oak integration. The firm acidity of the wine, and it's round mouth feel, is brought about because only some of the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation. Finally, the winemakers of Mer Soleil practice hand swirling of the barrels in order to create the creamy texture. 

The 2017 vintage of the Reserve Mer Soleil has a beautiful, light golden hue. It has scents of warm brioche, roasted almonds, citrus and honeysuckle. The creaminess of this delightful wine is distinct on the palate, with a soft entry and the creaminess filling the mouth. Flavors of toasted oak and lemon blossom mingle with a hint of buttery richness. Finally, the wine finishes with a lively acidity that brings balance and freshness as a final, playful kick of brightness.
